DPDP Compliance

Science for Humanity - Chemistry Education in India (SFH Chemistry) is committed to respecting the rights of individuals under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), India’s landmark data protection law. This page explains how we comply with the DPDP Act and how you can exercise your rights as a data principal.

Scope and Applicability

The DPDP Act applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While SFH Chemistry does not require users to register or create accounts, we may collect limited personal data through automated means such as website analytics, cookies, and server logs. This data is collected solely for improving user experience and understanding how visitors interact with our educational content.

  • Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated

Note: These rights apply only to data that can be identified as belonging to you. Since we do not maintain user profiles or databases of personal information, most requests will pertain to anonymized or aggregated data.

How We Comply

SFH Chemistry complies with the DPDP Act by:

  • Collecting only essential data necessary for website functionality and analytics
  • Not storing personal data beyond what is required for operational purposes
  • Using third-party analytics tools that anonymize user data where possible

  • Responding to data principal requests within the legal timeframe

Data We Process

Under the DPDP Act, the types of data we may process include:

  • IP addresses (anonymized)
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Cookie identifiers (for session and preference management)

All data collected is processed in an aggregated or anonymized form and is not linked to any individual’s identity unless voluntarily provided through a contact form.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of digital personal data is based on:

  • Legitimate interest in providing educational content and improving website performance
  • Consent where cookies or tracking technologies require it under applicable law

We do not process sensitive personal data as defined under the DPDP Act.

No Discrimination Policy

Under the DPDP Act, we do not and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You will not be denied access to our educational resources, services, or content because you have requested access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent.
